I am one of the nearly forty-nine million You Tube viewers who have watched Susan Boyle, the unemployed cat owner from Scotland, blow away the audience of Britain’s Got Talent.

Before she takes the stage we learn that Boyle is 47, never married, never kissed, spends her days with Pebbles the cat, and by eye-balling her: frizzy graying hair, eyebrows like caterpillars, ill-fitting dress, gray pantyhose and open-toed cream colored shoes, we assume she’s not a beauty pageant winner. The audience and judges size her up, too.

There was a flurry of excitement as each kite took off  into the open sky.  My kids were squealing away in delight when theirs started catching some wind.  We were on a kite flying outing organized by their weekend dharma class.  On each kite, each child has written his or her most desired dream.  For a while, I stood enraptured by the sight of colorful kites dancing against a sky blue canvas.

As I watched, I started to recall what I have read.  I went back in time to the 19th century when two brothers had an idea which eventually became their passionate and consuming dream. On Friday December 17, 1903 at 10:35 AM, the Wright brothers (Wilbur and Orville) flew “the world’s first power-driven, heavier-than-air machine in which man made free, controlled, and sustained flight.” Their memorable feat took place at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on a cold windy morning.

Most people don’t mind stress as long as it’s someone else’s and they don’t have to deal with it. Of course you know that stress impacts your life – everyone knows that. But what if you could turn that stress into success? What kind of life could you then lead?

Could you save energy instead of spending it? Could you direct your life instead of being a slave to it? Could you build self-worth instead of destroying it? Could you love your relationships instead of sabotaging them?

Could you heal your body instead of disordering it? And could you sleep peacefully instead of tossing and turning every night? Could you simply live a greater life?

Of course you can!

Success in its broadest meaning is not limited to only monetary and material possessions. It reveals as being plentiful in countless and several forms in life and nature.

The universal spirit of consciousness, craves to continuously manifest and express itself; this power likewise expresses its longing to demonstrate success, which is naturally wanting to develop, to grow and become bigger and stronger.

However, many realize this longing and natural inclination for growth repressed in them, because of negative thinking, unconstructive programming, and not having enough faith in their abilities and themselves.

Every individual has dual natures. One wants the self to move forward while the other feels like pulling back. The one nature that one concentrates and cultivates on determines what one is at the final end, as both natures tries to hold and to be in control.
