Liberate Yourself From Self-Limiting Thoughts and Feelings

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

It’s a paradox of the true spiritual path, but the more conscious we become of what limits us, the more limitless becomes our life. So, take as long as you need to understand the lesson that follows. It’s intended to shed much-needed light on one of the more deceptive dark states that stands between us and the freedom for which we long.

The only purpose discouraged feelings serve is to keep your thoughts on what you can’t do. And with your attention fixed in this fashion – on what seems impossible – there’s no room for discovering what is possible – for what you can do.

Let’s cover this important discovery one more time.

“Consciousness Creation is about the power of our thoughts to create the life we wish to experience.”
- Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Secrets of SuccessWhat have you created today? Whether you realize it or not, you’ve been very busy in the act of creation. Perhaps you’ve been hard at work or maybe just hanging out “doing nothing,” but either way you’ve actually been forging your future.

This ongoing construction of your destiny is taking place every moment of every hour of your life, and the most significant source of your future invention is your own individual consciousness.

We Are Belief-Making and Belief-Consuming Creatures

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

As children, we called it “make believe.” People encouraged us to be imaginative and creative, to fantasize and enjoy. Then, as we aged, the guidance changed. Grow up! Be realistic! “Making believe” became the more serious game of “making beliefs”: judging, drawing conclusions, deciding what’s good and bad, right and wrong. All our emotions and behaviors then follow from the beliefs we create.

Parents, priests, teachers, corporate executives and politicians compete busily to teach us or sell us beliefs so that they can influence our feelings and behavior. They know, and we soon learn, that winning the games of power, both personal and political, depends on what we choose to believe.

Sell Your Cleverness And Purchase Bewilderment

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

Having a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing sounds easy until you think about how much conditioning has taken place in your life, and how many of your current thoughts were influenced by geography, the religious beliefs of your ancestors, the color of your skin, the shape of your eyes, the political orientation of your parents, your size, your gender, the schools that were selected for you, and the vocation of your great-grandparents, to list only some possibilities.

You showed up here as a tiny infant capable of an infinite number of potentialities. Many of your choices remain unexplored because of a hopefully well-intentioned conditioning program designed to make you fit the culture of your caretakers. You probably had next to no opportunity to disagree with the cultural and societal arrangements made for your life.
