The sudden transformation of Byron Katie serves as a remarkable testimony to the powers of spiritual resurrection that live in each of us.

Born Byron Kathleen Reid in Breckenridge, Texas, in 1942, she was raised in the small desert town of Needles, California, in the years following World War II. Her mother said that she was named Byron for money, after a wealthy relative offered financial support if the child was given his name, and Kathleen for love. Growing up, everyone called her Katie.

Her homemaker mother and her father, a railroad worker, saw Katie grow from a quiet, thoughtful little girl into an aggressive, competitive teenager who sought to be the best in everything she did. A top student, she played piano and sang in a regional choir. Beautiful, energetic, and fun, Katie was voted first runner-up for queen of her high school prom.

Sometimes it seems our personalities are fixed and predetermined. We were born with them. They were programmed into us by our environment. Any attempt to change them will be superficial or temporary. We are who we are.

In truth, our personalities are extremely fluid and dynamic, composed of elements that can be individuated, classified and put in right relationship. We refer to these elements as archetypes. At the broadest level, archetypes can be placed in five categories: the Shadow, the Anima/Animus, the Ego, the Persona and the Self.

Whether you are new to The Law of Attraction or have been at it for years without much success there is a reason why.  There is a new consciousness that is being birthed on the planet and the old ways of doing things will not work anymore, especially working long and hard.

Some of the reasons why traditional goal setting, vision boards, affirmations, and other Law of Attraction applications are not working is simply because it is not coming from spirit and source energy.   You are connected with the Universe, Creator, God, or whatever you prefer to say that has much more power than trying to manifest something from the 3rd dimension.  Additionally, your soul is the gateway to this connection and it always knows what is for your highest good.

1. Make a list of all you can’t stand about work/life
Those who are really stuck may complain that they don’t know what they want. Not true. Make a list of all you do not want or like about your current situation and you will find on the flip side, something you DO want! Write it down.

2. Recognize that ALL change (good or bad) means loss
The ‘evil’ we know is sometimes less scary than the ‘evil’ we don’t know. It is normal to be afraid to make a change because of what you stand to lose. However, the only way is forward, so you might as well accept whatever perceived loss of status, money or identity and realize that more happiness awaits. In fact, if everyone else is telling you you are crazy for making a change, you are on the right track!
