3. Higher Consciousness
This is also known as the super-conscious mind – your higher self. It is the least understood and least accessed aspect of Consciousness because it does not belong to the physical or mental realm. Its domain is the spiritual realm. It is the You that is All-Knowing and All-Powerful and is the same in kind as the One Universal Mind.

It is the You that is beyond not only the physical world but also the emotions of your mental world. Your higher self does not distinguish between good or bad, wrong or right, happy or sad – not because it is unable to but because it has no need to. It is the You that only knows balance. It is the You that is only Love. It is the eternal observer. It is absolute stillness.

Our Button Pushers are Our Greatest Teachers
We all have our “buttons” which when pushed cause us to act or think in negative ways which surpass our normal selves. Get to know your buttons. Instead of becoming frustrated, know that your “buttons” are the keys to your growth.

Instead of asking for your “buttons” not to be pushed, you should examine the cause and ultimately the belief behind the trigger and change it. See your “buttons” as the red-alert alarm which brings to your attention those parts of your consciousness that are begging to be changed.

Rebirth of a Madwoman – The Resurrection of Byron Katie

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

The sudden transformation of Byron Katie serves as a remarkable testimony to the powers of spiritual resurrection that live in each of us.

Born Byron Kathleen Reid in Breckenridge, Texas, in 1942, she was raised in the small desert town of Needles, California, in the years following World War II. Her mother said that she was named Byron for money, after a wealthy relative offered financial support if the child was given his name, and Kathleen for love. Growing up, everyone called her Katie.

Her homemaker mother and her father, a railroad worker, saw Katie grow from a quiet, thoughtful little girl into an aggressive, competitive teenager who sought to be the best in everything she did. A top student, she played piano and sang in a regional choir. Beautiful, energetic, and fun, Katie was voted first runner-up for queen of her high school prom.

The Conscious Path of Oneness Within the Persona

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Many believe transformation comes from within. Change your thoughts, the saying goes, and you change your world. Some say it’s the other way around – that if we change our behaviors, the mind will follow.

At a quantum level there’s actually no difference. Our inner lives and outer worlds are one and the same.

As we undertake the seemingly arduous task of transforming ourselves, the illusion that our inner and outer lives are separate and irreconcilable can be dispiriting. When we focus on one area – be it the outer or the inner – we may feel the other becomes intractable and unyielding, resisting our efforts every step of the way.
