The High Cost of Living Unconsciously

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Have you ever heard of the term “Highway Hypnosis”? It’s a term that’s been coined for what goes on in major metropolitan areas every day. Your conscious mind becomes overloaded by information from your body, environment, subconscious mind, and conscious mind, so that your subconscious mind takes over and moves into the driver’s seat.

We all know the high cost of driving unconsciously. You can slam into someone’s car and not know how you got there.

Here’s the real question, though: What’s the cost of being unconscious on the highway of your life? Are you bumping into obstacles that you don’t need to bump into? Could you be navigating a much more effective path? Are you tuned out to the road signs that could make your life a smoother journey?

Personal Transformation Through the Power of Intent

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

The secret to all personal transformation is intent. We can only transform ourselves to the degree that our intent is engaged. The good news is that it’s easier to engage our intent than it may seem initially.
The first step is to actually decide that transformation is what you want, and this is not such an easy decision to make as you might think.

If you consider that transformation is the process of changing the expression of your being so as to embody as much of the true essence of who you are as possible, you will realize that implicit in this process is the possibility that your whole world will change. It is a paradigm shift of immense proportion. Are you really ready to be all you can be and accept everything that entails? Are you really ready to take full responsibility for who you are? Do you feel the inherent empowerment that this will bring you, and is this what you want?

7 Reasons Why People Fail in Life

“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” Robert F Kennedy

If you find yourself up against the same problems and issues today which you were facing years ago, it may be the right time to start looking at things differently. Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results.

Being successful is very simple. Just model others who are successful. Talk like they talk, do what they do, and most importantly think like they think. Focus on less, but only on that which is more important to you, whatever that may be.

Two Simple Habits for a More Fulfilled Life

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.”
- Aristotle

Humans are certainly creatures of habit. We go about living our lives one day at a time, often performing same tasks over and over again daily, weekly, monthly, and so on.

A habit can be simply defined as any task we consciously or unconsciously perform on a regular basis. A habit can be as basic as always putting on a seat belt prior to starting our vehicles or more sophisticated such as taking an hour just for ourselves every Sunday evening to reflect back on the prior week and plan the one coming ahead.
