Susan Boyle’s Gift

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

I am one of the nearly forty-nine million You Tube viewers who have watched Susan Boyle, the unemployed cat owner from Scotland, blow away the audience of Britain’s Got Talent.

Before she takes the stage we learn that Boyle is 47, never married, never kissed, spends her days with Pebbles the cat, and by eye-balling her: frizzy graying hair, eyebrows like caterpillars, ill-fitting dress, gray pantyhose and open-toed cream colored shoes, we assume she’s not a beauty pageant winner. The audience and judges size her up, too.

The Three Essentials For Success

Over the years i have had a lot of feedback on this book. Most of it has been very good; many of the stories about what people have done after reading this book are what I call miracle stories.

One woman woke her husband up at 3:00 in the morning after she finished Visionary Business and told him, “I’m going to double our sales in three months.” She was working on her dream, her own retail shop, selling the things she loved, but it had been a struggle every step of the way. She knew if she doubled her sales, she would be cruising along profitably and would be able to do substantial profit sharing with all her employees. Within three months, she had doubled her sales.

The Miller Brothers – A Thrill Ride of Heartbreak and Redemption

So you want to write a book. You envision it setting cozily atop the bestseller lists, reviewed with gusto by Time and the New Yorker, perhaps Esquire or Playboy.

Or perhaps it’s a movie you have in mind. You’re going to write the screenplay, wield the camera, sign a few B-list actors to play the parts and earn a best picture nomination at the Oscars. But wait; you don’t know how to write.

You don’t know anything about lighting, cinematography, make-up, cutting film. You can’t even hold your digital camera straight and steady.
